Biography

Dr. Kosisochukwu Emmanuel Umeasalugo is a Nigerian-born and Germany-based biomedical neuroscientist, Anglican clergy leader, youth educator, and published author whose work bridges scientific innovation, education, leadership, and community development.

He holds a Ph.D. in Neurosciences from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU), Germany, where his research has focused on identifying therapeutic targets for central nervous system disorders, particularly mild traumatic brain injury in children and adolescents. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Anatomy from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Nigeria, graduating as the best student in his faculty before proceeding to advanced studies in neuroscience and neurotrauma, culminating in his doctoral degree. He has contributed to numerous international publications and scientific conferences in the fields of neuroscience and neurotrauma.

Dr. Umeasalugo has conducted research at the Institute for Stroke and Dementia Research and the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at LMU Hospital, Munich, contributing to advancements in neurological health and translational research. He currently undertakes postdoctoral research at the Biomedical Center, LMU Munich, where he continues to explore innovative approaches to understanding and treating disorders of the central nervous system while also contributing to medical education and training.

Beyond academia, Rev. Dr. Umeasalugo is an ordained Anglican priest who is deeply committed to leadership development, youth empowerment, and faith-based service. He serves as Administrative Dean and German Church Planter Cohort Leader for the Anglican Church in Germany, providing strategic leadership, mentorship, and pastoral guidance to emerging leaders and growing faith communities.

As the founder of Royalty Knowledge Hub (RK Hub), he champions initiatives designed to equip young people with the knowledge, mindset, and practical skills needed to thrive in the future of learning and work. His passion for education, mentorship, and human development aligns closely with AFRIEDU's mission of advancing Afrocentric learning, leadership, and innovation.

Rev. Dr. Umeasalugo brings to the Board a distinctive combination of scientific excellence, educational vision, spiritual leadership, and youth development expertise. Fluent in English and Igbo, and proficient in German, he offers a global perspective and a deep commitment to empowering individuals and communities across Africa and the diaspora. He is married to Mrs. Ngozi Umeasalugo, with whom he impacts lives in Europe and Africa.
